Il Centro Collaboratore Italiano dell’OMS per la Famiglia delle Classificazioni Internazionali si occuperà dell’aggiornamento internazionale di ICD-10, per otto anni supportato dal Canada (CIHI) e continuerà con l’aggiornamento di ICF (che supporta dal 2010). E’ quanto è stato deciso dal Council del WHO-FIC Network a Barcellona, il 17 ottobre 2014.
La gestione degli aggiornamenti di ICD-10 avvantaggerà il nostro paese, impegnato nella revisione del sistema di classificazioni da usare per la codifica della morbosità. La nostra regione, tramite il nostro supporto, sta già lavorando alla revisione in italiano di ICD-10 per allinearla alla versione internazionale attualmente disponibile. La nuova versione di ICD-10 sarà utilizzabile anche per la codifica delle cause di morte, in accordo con ISTAT e sarà disponibile sul Portale italiano delle classificazioni www.reteclassificazioni.it. in formato elettronico navigabile e in versione stampabile.
Per facilitare il passaggio da ICD-9CM a ICD-10 abbiamo inoltre sviluppato con il supporto del Dipartimento di Matematica dell’Università di Udine il software TransIT. Tale strumento permette la transcodifica automatica di codici ICD-9CM in codici ICD-10. Il software è stato già utilizzato per rileggere in termini ICD-10 la base dati SDO nazionale relativa agli anni 2011 e 2012 e i dati preliminari sono stati presentati a Barcellona.
Supporteremo, inoltre, l’OMS nella pubblicazione della nuova versione 2015 di ICF, in italiano e in inglese, aggiornando il browser OMS.
La nuova versione si aggiungerà a quella attualmente disponibile gratuitamente sul Portale italiano delle classificazioni.
